As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 51,951 and a density of 409.55 persons per km . The total area is 126.85 km .


The city was created on September 1, 1951.

As part of this honour, the Hall of Fame will be construction a full-scale replica of the AKO Fratmen Football locker room at the Hall of Fame in Hamilton, Ontario and this exhibit should be completed some time in the spring of 2006.
As part of this locker room exhibit, the Hall of Fame will be displaying memorbilia for the Fratmen's long and rich history.
