Al Garhoud is an area in Dubai close to Dubai International Airport. It is generally a housing area for Emirates Airlines due to its proximity to DXB Airport.


Close to many pubs and clubs including the Aviation Club which houses 'The Irish Village' a must see for all tourists and expats alike. A mock Irish pub, built by the Irish pub company and managed my DDF (Dubai Duty Free) it boasts a fine International Menu and Dubai's biggest beer garden.


Other attractions nearby include City Centre shopping mall as well as a Meridien Hotel which is home to the Dubliner bar and various restaurants and an Al Bustan Hotel.


Al Garhoud is notorious for its traffic and part of which is caused by the Al Garhoud bridge.


Expats generally leave out the 'Al' part of Al Garhoud and call it Garhoud.
