After his artistic studies at the Saint-Luc in Mons, Alain Maury began his comics career with the gag series about the musician 'Stanislas' in Spirou in 1983. Maury joined Studio Peyo in 1988 , where he started out drawing for the magazine Schtroumpf. In 2004, Maury and Robberecht started 'Le Contact', also at Casterman.
