Alain Menu saluted the Ford team-mates who pushed him all the way in the title battle.
Menu was delighted that such a successful year had been completed with the spirit and goodwill between he and his team-mates still intact despite the fierce battles they had contested on the track.
Menu, winner of six races this season, would not commit himself to defending the championship, especially with no Ford team involved in 2001.
