Alan Lancaster - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (239 words)
Alan Lancaster (born 7th February 1949) is one of the founder members of the English rock act Status Quo; he was the original bassist.
Unhappy with the direction which the band was taking in the early 1980s, Lancaster left the group although he did return in 1985 for a one-off performace as the band opened the Live Aid phenomenon.
Lancaster lives in Sydney, Australia where over the years, he has formed a part of many local bands, namely the Party Boys and the Bombers.He is regarded by hard core Status Quo fans as the only true bassist of the band.
