Alan Reid (born 7 August1954) is a politician in Scotland. He is Liberal DemocratMember of Parliament for Argyll and Bute, and was first elected in 2001. AlanReid has slammed the European Commission for refusing the Government's request to extend Britain's derogation from the Directive that allows the Treasury to set a lower rate of fuel-tax on the red diesel used by private pleasure crafts.
