Alarma Records is a sublabel of Frontline Records.
Records and Tapes was originally formed in 1983 by the band Daniel Amos, with musician Tom Howard, for the release of their Doppelgänger album.
It was later reformed by the Frontline Music Group in the late 1980s.

Although these records were originally released between 1981 and 1986, the sophistication of the DA sound (especially the humorous, insightful, depth-filled lyrics) more than stands the test of time.
Though their influences are as numerous as on Alarma and are again employed to create a sense of dissonance, the music has a distinctive style which allows it to stand on its own merits.
Beginning with Alarma!, the next four albums to come from Terry Taylor and company would set a small part of the Christian music scene on fire, and continue to reverberate nearly two decades later in the lives and musical stylings of hundreds of artists and tens of thousands of fans throughout North America.
