Albany, (IPA: [æl'bənɪ]}, is the largest regional city in WA situated on the south coast of Western Australia 408 kilometres (254 mi) south-southeast of Perth. Its metropolitan area has a population of 31,600 as of the 2007 census, [1] and it is located within the City of Albany local government area.
