Former Tory MP Sir AlbertMcQuarrie supports the industry but feels he is too old to re-enter the political fray.
Sir AlbertMcQuarrie, who was Tory MP for Banff and Buchan until 1987, admitted yesterday that he was tempted to take up the offer to re-enter the political fray as a champion of the fishing industry.
Sir Albert will, however, be in the Buchan fishing port of Peterhead today to pledge his support at the official launch of the new force in Scottish politics.
After Chartrand used his 6-foot-2 frame to muscle inside for a lean-in, McQuarrie flew downcourt for a three-point play starting with a layup he banked in on nearly a flat angle.
It was a reversal of a second period in which the Presidents played to their tempo and resisted Proctor attempts to extend the lead.
McQuarrie, a quick little point guard, added 10 points and made some slick passes to set up the inside game.
