Naranjo was director-founder of El Trabuco Venezolano, in front of this big band, Naranjo recorded seven LP, two of them were recorded in direct with Irakere. After the Trabuco's experience, Naranjo directed an octect of jazz and recorded the CD Oblación, with a major part of the work based on his compositions, plus Duke Ellington´s and Oliver Nelson's compositions; following two revisionaries work of Billo Frómeta and Luis Alfonzo Larrain.
