Alectrona was an early Greek goddess (of the sun), who became a daughter of Helios once myths of Classical antiquity came along.
Her center of worship was at Rhodes, which is also the center of worship of her father, Helios.
She was possibly a goddess of the morning or man's waking sense, which causes men to wake up in the morning, as her name means "rooster" (Alectrona is the feminine genitive of Αλεκτορ, alektor, the Greek word for "Rooster"), which would be an appropriate name for a solar goddess.
Alectrona after her Possession seemed to be showing a greater diligence in her religious observances and Annissa too seemed to find the clear signs of the battle of Light against Dark a real spur to renewed faith.
Alectrona, Annissa, Antonio, Musa and Balthazar met with Baroness Ana Ramakrishna who explained that the convoy had been attacked by one of the thanes loyal to the planetary overlord Sigfaddir Firestorm but due to the fragmented nature of Vuldrok alliances this would not necessarily bring down the wrath of the warlord.
Alectrona's latest dream seemed to contain elements of either prophesy or a hint that she was in some way sensitive to the presence of Symbiotes.
