Fratelli Alessi Omegna (FAO) was founded in 1921 in Omegna, Italy by Giovanni Alessi. According to a public notice of the commercial fairs of the 1920s FAO defined itself as a workshop FAO innovative and experimental from its origins started to produce domestic crockery from brass plated in nickel and silver. In 1935, Carlo Alessi (born 1916) son of Giovanni, was named design chief. By then the factory stop producing crafts to start massively. In 1945 Carlo ascend to chief executive and designed the coffee service Bombé, an industrial piece manufactured in four sizes.
