As of the census² of 2000, there are 1,329 people, 504 households, and 386 families residing in the town. The population density is 11.9/km² (30.9/mi²). There are 783 housing units at an average density of 7.0/km² (18.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 97.82% White, 0.08% African American, 0.30% Native American, 0.38% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 1.43% from two or more races. 0.23% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
