Alfred Izuruha is a major character from the anime, Gundam 0080. Al is a 10 year old boy when Gundam 0080 begins. He has a distant relationship with his father who works for the Earth Federation, gets mediocre grades in school and misbehaves in front of his mother and teachers. Al meets up with and befriends a Zeon rookie pilot, Bernard Wiseman who crashes on his colony of Libot after a short battle with Federation mobile suits. Al develops a good friendship with Bernie and the rest of Cyclops Team. When Operation Rubicon fails, Al helps Bernie rebuild his Zaku in an attempt to destroy Gundam Alex to prevent nuclear missiles from being fired on Side 6 on Christmas Day. Al reuintes with his father the day Bernie plans to assault Gundam Alex in Libot's forest only to discover that the Zeonic nuclear weapons have been secured by Federation forces. Al tries to stop Bernie from fighting Gundam Alex but fails and watches Bernie's Zaku explode with his own eyes.
