Alice Longbottom is a fictional character in the Harry Potter book series. She is the mother of Neville Longbottom, a Gryffindor boy in the same year as Harry Potter at Hogwarts.

Alice married Frank Longbottom; her maiden name is unknown. She and her husband were tortured to insanity by a group of Death Eaters led by Bellatrix Lestrange (the wife of Rudolph Lestrange and cousin of Sirius Black); this was described at the time as one of the most horrific crimes imaginable since Alice and Frank were very popular. Alice currently resides with her husband in the permanent resident ward of St. Mungo's, visited by her son and mother-in-law over the holidays.

In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Alice gives Neville a Droobles bubblegum wrapper during his visit at Christmas break (when Harry and his friends are visiting Arthur Weasley); Neville puts it in his pocket even though his grandmother tells him to throw it away. The significance of this incident is hotly debated.
