Aliza Gur was born Aliza Gross. She was Miss Israel of 1960, and was a runner up to Miss Universe that same year. Her parents left Germany during Hitler's reign and settled in Israel where she and her brother were born. She eventually came to the United States and settled in California where she began her film and television career. Aliza's been married a couple of times, once to Sy Shulman, and once to Sheldon Shrager. Her television credits include guest appearances on "Get Smart" (1965), _"Wild, Wild West, The" (1965)_ and several other shows. Movie credits included From Russia with Love (1963), Kill a Dragon (1967), and as an extra in The Ten Commandments (1956). Her parents came to the United States and settled in Cleveland, Ohio for a time. They passed away in the mid 1970s. Her most famed role was as one of the two fighting Gypsies in From Russia with love (1963) in which she played the smaller of the two combatants. Martine Beswick played the larger girl. By the climax of the fight, Gur seems to have the upper hand. To this day, Gur receives fan mail relating to this 2 minute scene. She now resides in Hollywood.
