Encyclopedia > All fifths

The idea of an "all fifths" tuning for guitar, while perhaps intellectually satisfying, denies the physics of guitar strings. It is impossible, for all practical purposes, to tune any currently manufactured guitar string up to the high B assumed in this tuning. Transposing lower (below the suggested C) moves below the resonant frequencies of the acoustic guitar body. The New Standard Tuning of Guitar Craft (C_G_D_A_E_G, low to high)is the most practical approach to a predominantly fifths_based tuning.

Fifth disease is a viral infection caused by human parvovirus B19.
Fifth disease is not a reportable disease in Wisconsin.
In most instances, fifth disease is a relatively mild, self-limited rash illness of childhood; recent studies indicate, however, that infection with parvovirus B19 in rare instances can lead to serious complications.
Fifth Disease (1289 words)
Fifth disease begins with a low-grade fever, headache, and mild cold-like symptoms (a stuffy or runny nose).
Because the rash of fifth disease is an immune reaction (a defense response launched by the body against foreign substances like germs) that occurs after the infection has passed, a child is usually not contagious once the rash appears.
Fifth disease is caused by a virus, and it cannot be treated with antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections.
