History

The party grew out of the Independent Members of Parliament Caucus of the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska to become the Party of Independent Social Democrats. In December 2001, it united with the Democratic Socialist Party, a splinter party of the Socialist Party of the Republika Srpska. After the unification, the party changed its name to Alliance of Independent Social Democrats, retaining its Serbian language acronym. The Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (Serbian Cyrillic: Савез независних социјалдемократа, Serbian Latin: Savez nezavisnih socijaldemokrata) is a parliamentary party in the Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The party grew out of the Independent Members of Parliament Caucus of the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska to become the Party of Independent Social Democrats.
In December 2001, it united with the Democratic Socialist Party, a splinter party of the Socialist Party of the Republika Srpska.

Social democracy can complement and even strengthen capitalism by helping maintain the framework of rules and obligations that encourage the market to operate with efficiency, vigor, fairness, legitimacy and the fullest possible participation of our citizens.
Social democrats must help revive interest in and understanding of the labor movement in the broader public, and encourage support for those measures that can help unions find new strength in the changing circumstances of a new century.
Social democracy is an internationalist tradition, with entrée to labor and political communities abroad that are vulnerable to the temptations of the false left and to distorted notions about America.
