Allison Wolfe is a DC-based singer and performer. In addition to her current band, Partyline, she has played a significant role in the riot grrrl movement of the 90s. With bands such as Cold Cold Hearts and Bratmobile, Allison provided a distinct voice in the third-wave feminist movement. She remains involved in political activism, and has recorded many albums produced by Kill Rock Stars (an Olympia, Washington -based record label). See also: Kathleen Hanna, Bikini Kill, and Le Tigre. During spring break 1991, Allison and Molly went to Washington, DC to follow Beat Happening and Nation of Ulysses on tour and try to work on a new form of Bratmobile.
Smith was co-author, with her brother, of the much-revered TV pop culture fanzine Teenage Gang Debs when Allison and Molly asked her to jam with them.
Allison's feminism and activism found many significant outlets and Erin's guitar playing grew more accomplished and technical while always staying true to her minimalist pop leanings.
