Allmendingen bei Bern is a commune in the southern suburbs south of the city Berne with approx. 520 inhabitants and inhabitants. It lies between Rubigen and Muri bei Berne.


For the first time the locality was mentioned documentary in the year 1239 as landsitz of Rudolf von Alwandingen. In the 16th century, it became Alwandingen Allmendingen. On 17 September 1946 Winston Churchill visited Allmendingen.


To at the end of 1992 Allmendingen was a commune with but Rubigen and Trimstein and was part of the commune of Rubigen and became on January 1, 1993 its became a separate municipality.
