Alpha Kappa Rho (also known as AKRHO, AKP, and SKEPTRON) is a fraternity/sorority which exists to create a bridge between all men and women who are committed to seek the social advancement of under-represented populations. The organization was founded on August 8, 1973 at the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines. Official founding Skeptrons headed by the leadership of Bro. Jose "BOY" Chua. The organization was registered at the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a non-profit and non-dividend corporation and was also the first humanitarian organization to be chartered indepedent from its mother country. In the same university, the organization has also pioneered an Inter-Collegiate Brotherhood and until now it is known to Philippine Schools, Universities and Colleges as Alpha Kappa Rho Inter-Collegiate Humanitarian Service Fraternity and Sorority. Alpha Kappa Rho has also established alumni chapters abroad (Filipino communities) promoting humanitarian brotherhood.
