Alta Lake State Park is a 181-acre camping park located in the mountainous northwest interior of Washington State. The park and adjacent lake lie beneath towering stone cliffs that rise perhaps 200 feet above the valley floor. Although quite small, this park is a very popular summer camping location.

The park lies about 2 miles from Pateros, WA and over 20 miles from Chelan, WA.

In the middle of the state lies the California Central Valley, a huge, fertile valley bounded by the coastal mountain ranges in the west, the granite Sierra Nevada to the east, the volcanic Cascade Range in the north and the Tehachapi Mountains in the south.
The State of California is part of the Nearctic ecozone, and spans a number of terrestrial ecoregions, and is perhaps the most ecologically diverse state in the United States.
The state offers a homeowner and renter assistance program under which a once-a-year payment is allowed to qualified individuals based on part of the property taxes assessed and paid on their homes or paid indirectly as part of their rent.
