Altern-8 is an early 1990s rave group. Their founders, Mark Archer and Chris Peat, had formerly been of rave/hardcore techno group Nexus 21.


Notable Altern-8 tracks include 'Activ8', 'E-Vapor8', 'Frequency', 'Hypnotic St-8' and 'Infiltrate 202'.


Altern-8 produced an album on the Network Record Label in 1992 called 'full on..mask hysteria'
