The station is located at the western end of the Pier Street level crossing. Shops are located near the station.
Facilities The station consists of only one platform. The platform contains a large brick building with an enclosed waiting room inside, and is one of only a few stations on the network to have an enclosed waiting room but is not staffed. A large Metcard machine is located at the entrance to the platform, which is able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accept notes and coins.
