Encyclopedia > Amar G. Bose

Amar Gopal Bose (अमर गोपाल बोस) (born 1929) is an American-born Indian electrical engineer. After receiving a Ph.D. from MIT, he started doing research on speaker technology, in 1956.


In 1964, he founded the Bose Corporation, which specializes in designing and producing high quality sound systems.


In addition to running his company, Bose is a professor of electrical engineering at MIT.
