Amberley consists of a few homes, farms and a general store, and acts as a farming hub in that produce from local farms is collected, stored and processed in several facilities in the area. There are limited seasonal rental accommodations nearby, although several towns with hotels are within easy reach.

The limited services in the immediate area largely cater to the local cottagers and year round agricultural industry. The general store can provide fuel (gasoline, diesel and propane), limited vehicle service (no garage, towing available), movie rentals, food, as well as beer, wine and spirits. (It is now a Beer Store and LCBO outlet.)
