American Naturalist is a monthly scientific journal, founded in 1867, and associated with the University of Chicago. The journal covers ecology, evolutionary biology, population, and integrative biology research. As of 2003 the Chief Editor is Jonathan Losos and the Managing Editor is Patricia Morse.
