Plot synopsis

American Pie tells the story of four high school seniors and their attempts to lose their virginity. Jim (Jason Biggs) has the least amount of experience of the four and has difficulty talking to girls. Kevin (Thomas Ian Nicholas) has a steady girlfriend, Vicki (Tara Reid), but they’ve yet to go all the way. "Oz" (Chris Klein) is the jock who comes on too strongly to girls. And Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas) is the mochachino drinking sophisticate who exhibits adult mannerisms, and yet can’t use the bathroom in a public toilet. This quartet forms a pact that they will have sex by the night of the prom. Once this pact is made, the foursome try many ways to find and seduce the right woman. Oz decides that he must be sensitive towards women. Kevin decides that he must learn to please Vicki. Finch attempts to create a reputation for himself so that the women will chase him. And Jim... well, poor Jim ends up in many awkward situations (many involving his father (Eugene Levy) catching him in bizarre acts) which leave him desperate to find a date for the prom. On prom night, all of them lose their virginity: Kevin loses his to Vicki; Oz to a girl he met in the glee club; Jim to Michelle, a band geek he goes to the prom with in desperation, after a humiliating sexual mishap on the Internet; and Finch to the mother of their enemy/friend Stifler, in revenge for a humiliating prank Stifler played on him. In the end, the four friends realize that while sex is great, it may not be the most important thing in life. Senior is: An advanced adult A high-level position The older of two people of the same family with the exact same name, often a parent (for example, Ken Griffey, Sr. ... Of course, it’s not the plot of "American Pie" that made it a success. The plot is simply an excuse for many outrageous situations to occur. The most famous scene in the film is the one in which Jim experiments with the apple pie. There is also Jim’s striptease. Some of the funniest scenes are the ones in which Jim’s dad attempts to talk to him about sex. For the first half of the film, "American Pie" seems to be determined to outdo itself by piling on one risque scene after another.

With its cast of mostly fresh faces, the $10.8-million production is already being touted as one of the summer’s potential break-out hits, much to the mock horror of Paul and Chris Weitz, the brothers who, respectively, directed and produced the film.
American Pie 2 Movie Review (839 words)
American Pie was released in the summer of 1999 on the heels of a wickedly funny trailer that had Jason Biggs getting caught humping one of his mom's warm apple pies for sexual gratification.
Now comes American Pie 2 (due in theaters Aug. 10), a film that is largely about the oft-ignored topic of "getting some" for the SECOND time, which for some is even more difficult.
Whereas in the first film, Jim's sexual failure with Nadia broadcast over the Internet was the movie's comic showpiece, the sequel features a hilarious (albeit equally unlikely) game of one-upmanship between the three guys and the two supposed lesbians broadcast via CB radio to the local police, pizza parlor, and area truckers.
