American VI is an upcoming posthumous album by Johnny Cash. It will be the 72nd studio album by johnny Cash It will be the second album, after American V: A Hundred Highways, to come out of the final recording sessions Cash did before he died. As with the other entries in his American series, the album will be produced by Rick Rubin and be released on his American Recordings label and distributed by Lost Highway Records. In July 2007, John Carter Cash told PopMatters that the album was set for a October 2007 release[1], but it has not yet been released, and has not had anymore information come forth since then.
