Lotus Word Pro is word processor software produced by IBM's Lotus Software group for use on Microsoft Windows-compatible computers. Word Pro can be obtained as part of the Lotus SmartSuite office productivity suite.


Word Pro was previously called Ami Pro. Ami Pro was originally a product of a company called Samna which was based in Atlanta, Georgia prior to being acquired by Lotus to round out their suite.
