A revolt led by Vijayaditya II, of Vengi throne, temporarily overthrew the Rashtrakuta dynasty until 821 when Karakka reinstated Amoghavarsha. Amoghavarsha's daughter married a Ganga prince in about 860. He died in 878 and was succeeded by his son Krishna II.
