Why I disagree with AG Amos Wako’s position on prosecutions (1044 words)
Mr Amos Wako’s prompt reply to my criticism of his office last week seems plausible but, on a closer look, it is vapid.
Wako assured the public that "all the persons who were charged before the court on the prosecutions initiated by Kaca will continue to be so charged in a manner that is constitutional and legal." The AG said he was determined "to play his role effectively in implementing the government policy of zero tolerance towards corruption."
Wako’s usual dodge when sleaze surfaces is to ask the public for evidence so that he may prosecute.
