Amrithapura is situated 67 kilometers north of Chikamaglur, Karnataka state, India. Amrithapura is known for the splendid Amruteshwara temple. This Kakutachala temple facing east has a Garbagriha, Antarala, a Navaranga & Mukhamandapa. The Mukhamandapa is extended into an intended multi-pillared Sabhamandapa which is the most ornate part of this exquisite temple.
