Biography

She was born into a Mexican family of mixed Spanish-Chinese-Japanese ancestry[1]. She first sang on the stage when she was six, when she sang Regalo A Dios by José Alfredo Jiménez. She moved to Tijuana, Baja California, where she studied accounting. When she was 22 years old she recorded her first song entitled "Compréndeme" in 1977. In 2006, she received the Premio lo Nuestro a la Musica Latina for "Premio a la Excelencia".
