Ana Rodríguez was born in 1974 in Cuba. She relocated with her family to Florida in 1979. With the help of Maurice Starr, recorded under the name of Ana for Epic/Parc Records, a CBS Records subsidiary. After years of absence, she re-emerged back into music under the name of Mia, and released an all Spanish language album in 2004 for Univision Records. Maurice Starr is a Boston-based musician and producer. ... Epic Records is an American record label, and subsidiary of Sony BMG. // Epic was launched originally as a jazz and classical music label in 1953 by CBS.
