The Anaheim Splash was a soccer team that played in the Continental Indoor Soccer League (CISL). The Contintel Indoor Soccer League was an indoor soccer league that existed from 1993 to 1997. ...


Founded in 1993 as "Los Angeles United" (with the start of the CISL), the team had the weakest draw by far of the seven initial teams. After the first season, the team was renamed to the "Splash" (probably in deference to their venue, the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim, which also hosted the water-themed Clippers of the NBA, Mighty Ducks of the NHL, and Bullfrogs of the MLRH).
