The track names consist of Richard D. James and Grant Wilson-Claridge's postal codes, phone numbers and dates of birth all mixed up as a kind of in-joke. All tracks except for ".38" made it to further re-releases. This release came in a brown paper bag with inset sheets describing Rephlex Records and various places of interest in Cornwall, England, as well as instructions on playing the end of Side A. Grant-Wilson Claridge is a transvestite from an in-bred area of England called Cornwall. ...

The CD version of Analogue Bubblebath 3 contains a handful of new tracks as well as three tracks of different lengths (".215061", ".1993841" and ".000890569".) The CD was packaged in a clear slim jewelcase with no liner notes or print whatsoever, save for a sticker denoting the name of the album and the address for Rephlex Records. Earlier versions said "now with 66% more bubbles" with images of bubbles, while on later releases the bubbles became the AFX logo. Either version was usually packaged in bubblewrap and contained a CD with no print on it (the only way to tell which side is which is by the etching CAT 008, which should be backwards in order for the playable side to be down.) The untitled tracks labelled with "cat 00897" refer to those also found on Analogue Bubblebath 3.1. The untitled "[cd only #1]" can also be heard as the ambient backing to the track "The Garden Of Linmiri", found on the Compilation album by Caustic Window. Analogue Bubblebath 3. ...
