The Ancienne Belgique is a concert hall for contemporary music in Brussels, Belgium. The venue has a capacity of approximately 2000 people. It is said to be one of the best concert halls of Belgium with a perfect accoustics. Mythic concerts at AB include in January 1955, Jacques Brel supported one week the performances of the Belgian pop and variety pioneer Bobbejaan Schoepen. The Cure in 1982 which ended in a fight between bandmembers on stage. The band split up right after this gig, to go back together months later. Iggy Pop played there in 1999, a performance that has been recorded on a DVD that is available with the best of "A million in Prizes" released in 2005.
