In January 2006, Peters took part in ITV1's reality ice-skating show Dancing on Ice. He was voted out in the second week, due to his 'awkward' and overly camp skating style.[1] However Peters eviction from the show was not without controversy. Peters claimed that he had been sabotaged by the notorious prankster extraordinaire from Inspiral Carpets, Clint Boon. Boon was publically reprimanded by Peters while appearing on an episode of Top of the Pops in 2005 after one of his pranks caused a massive brouhaha between pop icons Lionel Richie and Mariah Carey. It is alledged that Boon got his revenge on Peters by blunting one of the blades on Peters' ice skates, causing him to repeatedly stutter, and appear "camp like" as one of the judges critiqued. Peters addressed his frustration with Boon several times while he co-hosted a fan show with ex-contestant Andrea McLean, Dancing on Ice Extra every weekday on ITV for the rest of the show's run. On 8th March 2007 it was reported that Peters had broken his ankle during filming.
