Medvedev made a splash on the international tennis scene when he was but a mere teenager, picking up titles in Genoa and Stuttgart at age seventeen.
For Medvedev, however, this was a last hurrah and he faded into obscurity shortly afterwards, and he retired from the tour in 2001.
