The son of a bookseller at Limerick, Ireland, Cherry was a successful actor, and managed theatres in the provinces. He also wrote some plays, of which The Soldier's Daughter is the best. His chief claim to remembrance rests on his three songs, "The Bay of Biscay", "The Green Little Shamrock", and "Tom Moody".
AndrewCherry is a semisomewhat not so much established solo artist in Charlotte NC, combining the styles hes grown up listening to into his own mixture of folk, accoustic rock, and the oh so avoided genre emo.
