The Continental Journeys of Andrew Duncan junior (773 words)
Andrew Duncan senior held the chair of the Institutes of Medicine in Edinburgh University from 1790 until 1821.
As the travels of Andrew Duncan exemplify, the existence of this degree of educational freedom of choice enabled and impelled the ambitious young physician to travel abroad for some part of his medical education.
It is interesting to regard the Duncans, father and son, as being involved in a single economic enterprise, with the elder Duncan concerned, not just to provide for his son, but also to train and equip him to take his place in the Duncan family business of physicking, university teaching, journal editing, and medical power-broking.

Andrew began his directing career in the early 90’s, directing music videos for local Vancouver artists, such as; DDT, Noise Therapy and Nickelback.
Andrew was hired by Mainframe Entertainment in 1996, as Supervising Editor, with the goal of streamlining production methods and developing the role of the editor within Mainframe’s CGI television production.
In 2000, Andrew took a hiatus from Mainframe with the goal of developing his writing skills and concentrating on the development of several of his own projects.
