ANDREW HUTCHESON b. 1687 (640 words)
Andrew Hutcheson is said to have been born in England 13 March, 1687 * although the spelling suggests Scotland rather than England in which the Hutchinson spelling predominates.
Andrew was associated with Hutchinsons from Lincoln, England, and received land grants in areas occupied by English.
The fact that Andrew was living in Westmoreland Co. which lies between the Rappahannock River and the Potomac River not far from Chesapeake Bay further substantiates the belief that he came from England, since many English landed at Corotman, the port just off the bay.
