The first Anglo Chinese School (simply known as ACS) was built in Klang. History of ACS

In the year 1892, the "Pegawai Daerah Klang", Mr. Walter W Skeat and Tauke Loke Yew had taken a hard time to find help for money to build a school. They finally could rent a place at the Penghulu Mohid's house in Jalan Rembau.   • 1957 - The new school building (1921) had been fully renovated.
  • 1957 - The first Klang Boys' Brigade was made by the help of Capten Peter Dawson and Reverend Ronald Buttler-White.
  • 1958 - The subjects Additional Mathematics and Pure Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) was introduced to Form 4.
  • 1961 - The ACS Old Boys' association was registered officially making Mr.Koh Liang Sih their president.
  • 1963 - The new 3-storey building was finished built. It has 11 classrooms, one office, one teachers' room and one Geography room. It was opened by Capten Abdul Hamid, the minister of education at that time.
  • 1973 - The Parents and Teacher Association (PIBG) was created in the school hall. The first chairman was Mr.Adam bin Haji Yunus.
  • 1978 - The new 3-storey block that was built had 11 classes and an additional block with 4-storeys which has the Teachers' Room, an office, and an Air-Conditioned Library. Opened by Y.B. Dato' Musa Hitam, Minister of Education at that time.
  • 1979 - The form 6 classes were created.
  • 1980 - The Report Card day was introduced.
  • 1981 - The Mini Canteen day was held for the first time.
  • 1983 - The PIBG made a bicyle 'parking' place, tennis court, sepak takraw court, basketball court and a "serambi".
