Report on Angus by the Local Government Boundary Commission for Scotland (2202 words)
During the passage through Parliament of the 1994 Act, there was cross-Party understanding that we would review the number of councillors and boundaries of electoral wards for each council in time for changes to be implemented for the 1999 local elections.
Angus Council was asked to make copies of the electoral ward boundary descriptions, electoral statistics and illustrative maps available for inspection at their offices.
The designation of the electoral wards which we recommend for Angus Council, together with information which we have received from the Council as to the 1996 electorate and forecast 2001 electorate of the proposed wards are set out at Appendix B to this report.
