Animax (アニマックス?) is an anime cable television network created and owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment, and dedicated to showing anime programming [1]. Established on May 20, 1998, Animax originally premiered on July 1, the same year, in Japan on the SKY PerfecTV! platform. Original translation and dubbing teams

Animax have translated and dubbed entire anime television series themselves, and features its own original English translation and dubbing team, who have dubbed many of their series, some of which were not licensed by American distributors and do not have any English adaptation counterparts, such as Detective School Q, Clamp School, Hungry Heart - Wild Striker, Emma - A Victorian Romance, Conan: The Boy in Future, and many others.
