Annie Lennox is in the running to win a Brit Award this year, but she faces tough opposition.
How apt for Halloween, Annie Lennox had a very spooky experience when she was touring around the US of A. Annie was staying in the town of Austin at the Driskill Hotel, which has a huge local reputation of being haunted.
Annie went to London's prestigious Royal Academy Of Music at the age of 17 and is said to have spent her last summer in Aberdeen working in a fish finger factory.

The Cannon Award is given annually to a woman resident of North America, who is with five years of receipt of a Ph.D., for distinguished contributions to astronomy or for similar contributions in related sciences which have immediate application to astronomy.
