Aili Ansa Inkeri Ikonen (19 December 1913 in Saint Petersburg – 23 May 1989 in Helsinki) was an award-winning Finnish film and theater actress. She was the most important Finnish actress of her time[citation needed] and one of the most famous Finnish actresses ever.[citation needed] Ikonen played during her life in dozens of films. She played in many films with actor Tauno Palo. Ikonen was wife of actor Jalmari Rinne and she had two daughters: Katriina Rinne and Marjatta Rinne. Saint Petersburg (Russian: Санкт-Петербу́рг, English transliteration: Sankt-Peterburg), colloquially known as Питер (transliterated Piter), formerly known as Leningrad (Ленингра́д, 1924–1991) and Petrograd (Петрогра́д, 1914–1924), is a city located in Northwestern Russia on the delta of the river Neva at the east end of the Gulf of Finland...
