Named honorable mention All-America by The Associated Press as a senior, AntonioDaniels was selected on the first round of the 1997 NBA Draft by the Vancouver Grizzlies, the fourth overall choice of the draft.
Daniels was named the Mid-American Conference Player of the Year in 1996-97, leading the Falcons to a 22-10 record and a spot in the 1997 National Invitational Tournament.
Daniels changed his uniform number from 10 to 33 during junior season as a tribute to his brother, Chris, a center for the University of Dayton who passed away unexpectedly on February 8, 1996.
Daniels has been, "Pretty tentative in the offense because he still has to think about what hes supposed to be -- and what everyone else is supposed to be doing," Broom wrote last week.
Daniels is not, and never has been, a great outside shooter, but his touch from midrange and in the paint is underrated.
Where Daniels is at his worst defensively is containing the ball on the perimeter, and this was evident against the Lakers.
