Encyclopedia > Anybody But Bush

Anybody but Bush was an informal political movement during the 2004 US Presidential election. It was a group of voters who would vote for "anybody" before they voted for President George W. Bush. The driving force behind the movement was anger at the policies of the Bush Administration. These voters believe that anyone put into the Oval Office would do a better job as President than George W. Bush without regard to the person's record or political views. Another permutation of this was Anybody but Bush, Except for Kerry, which gained popularity among disenchanted or secular Republicans, who are unwilling to vote for John Kerry.
